Knowing a guy likes you is hard. Often you are trying to see signs that are not really there as a false hope that they really like you.

How can you know for certain? The best way is to find out from his friends. Guys often talk about chicks they like or find attractive to their friends. But watch out, a jealous friend might lie to you!

Check out these signs as a beginning place:

1. Body language. Someone who likes you will face you or lean toward you.
2. Closeness, they seem to hover close by you wherever you are.
3. They are happy whenever they see you.
4. Eye contact that always follows you. However they may be shy and not hold eye contact. If the person is not shy and does not hold eye contact that is a sign they don't like you.
5. Body contact. Hugging, touching, not moving away when you touch.
6. Pupils dialate (get bigger) if thye likes you, but this is quite hard to pick up on, and you might look a bit weird looking that closely into his eyes.
7. Watch for him showing interest in things you like and do.
8. Check for signs of nervousness: nervous laughter, sweaty palms, fidgeting, etc. Unless he's scared of public speaking and is about to make a presentation, it just might be that he's nervous about making an impression on someone he fancies (hopefully you).
9. Smile. A big smile in return is a good sign.
10. See if he always ends up in the same part of the room as you. Perhaps he keeps going out of his way to bump into you.
11. Notice the way he treats you, does he playfully tease you, or call you names, just to try and get your attention? It's natural for a guy to tease when he likes a girl, but remember, someone can still tease someone, even if they aren't attracted to them.
12. Pay attention to his friends. If they know he's interested in you, they might tease him subtly when you're around, hint to you that he likes you, or even try to find out if you like him. Also study their reactions to your presence. Do they smile? Do they turn to him? If so, then there's a good chance he really does like you. Also if you call his name... note if his head snaps around right away or does it turn gradually?
13. If the guy wants to talk to you all the time there is a good chance that he will like you!
14. If he starts acting nicer when you're around him then he probably has a thing for you.
15. He'll say yes to all the things you ask him to do.
16. He'll treat you differently than other girls. See how he acts with other girls compared to how he treats you.
17. Sometimes when guys ask you questions and other people distract the conversation or cut him off, he'll just forget about it. If you notice that he keeps asking or changing the subject back to the question until you answer, then he may like you. Watch out, though, because if the topic is something serious like a death or whatnot, he may just want to know for no aparrent reason.
